Odds are you’ve heard of microdermabrasion. You’ve seen it in magazines and probably have at least one friend
who swears by it. But does it live up to the hype ? In this post, we’re going to talk about what microdermabrasion is
and who can benefit from it.

WHAT IS MICRODERMABRASION?
In a nutshell, it’s a supercharged exfoliation that removes the rough, thick superficial outermost
layers of skin. There are two types of microdermabrasion machines, crystal and diamond tip. Crystal
microdermabrasion machines use a wand that sprays a fine mist of aluminum oxide crystals and vacuums them
them up along with the dead skin. Diamond-tip microdermabrasion is newer and is just what it sounds
like. An esthetician passes a diamond tipped wand over your skin. This diamond tip sands off your outer layers
of skin and has suction to vacuum it all up.

WHO CAN BENEFIT FROM MICRODERMABRASION?
If you want instantly fresher, younger looking skin then microderm can help you. In particular, it can be useful for:
- anti-aging
- reducing fine lines and minor wrinkles
- increased penetration of moisturizers and other skin care products
- improving uneven skin tone
- reducing dark spots
- improving melasma
- softening skin
